How many of you are over 30 years old? If you’re not, are you anxious about getting there?

I can’t hide the truth and act like it’s not the case; I’m now officially in my thirties... This is nothing but another step closer to death, but this specific milestone sure makes me feel older. It really is frightening how fast the years pass once you reach adulthood. A full decade gone in what seemed like an instant. But it also made me kinda curious: how many of you are already over thirty, and how did you deal with not being so young anymore? And for anyone still in their teens or twenties, how anxious are you about getting older?

I'm 37, so a fair bit over 30😅
I wish I got my independence much sooner than I did, still feel so far behind other people, but I'm also amazed I got through all I did without losing my mind.
I just want to experience as much as I can, but I don't think I can achieve all the things I really want In life.
Would really like to get to know people outside of family, and I am kind of doing that at the moment.

Give me 2 weeks and I'll be there too

Not looking forward to it, never thought I would get here. Shit hasn't been too worth it so far tbh but people tell me the 30s are better (they are coping probably)

I am 30 years old and I feel 24 because ever since joining MAL I've felt 6 years younger.

Actually I might feel 20 because a character I relate to from something I played recently is 20.

Or even 14 because I identify as Asuka.

Ah shit you’re just a year older than me. That means I am actually the onii-Chan in our relationship. On the actual topic, age is technically just a number. Look at this supermodel Chundao Tan.

He’s 58! Damn, makes you wish you were that fish, huh?

30? I don't even remember my 30th birthday. Probably because I didn't celebrate it since there was no one to celebrate it with. Like, it wasn't because I was lonely or anything, it's just that humans didn't even exist back then - that's how long ago it feels it was.

I am in my early twenties but I am not anxious about getting in my thirties. I still have a lot to do and I dont think I can achieve that without getting in my thirties or even older.

still yn, thanks God, I still have so much shit to do. I'm early early twenties and I am somewhat anxious about time passing by. I am pretty surprised by a lot of users here, I didn't know CD is majority over 30. I thought you'd be 26, I thought PV is 24. You are pretty cool for a millennial👍👍👍

Thank you CD for relieving me that I'm still among the youngest here, despite feeling like an old dog. I'm sure enough people were fooled by my decade old joined date and all around wise aura though 😉

The strange thing about being in your 30s is you are the same person you were a year or two ago but not you’re considered “old” because the digits changed slightly.
Fear not OP, there are breakthroughs being made in medical science that will enable humans to live indefinitely.
You are still just a kid in the grand scheme of things, and should you take good care of yourself there’s a chance you’ll live to be 300 years old chronologically.

Getting closer to 30 every year. I really don't care as my age has not been something that I give weight to since turning 20. I just forget how old I am and always count it since I think so little of it. But like positively excited for any age as I have always felt in my prime in the age I live at. Maybe I'll feel the same as I go ovet 30

I'll be 38 not long from now. I don't need to "deal with" it. The world is my oyster. I'm just getting started, baby!

(Well, I do have to deal with various health issues and injuries, but I assume you meant mentally dealing with it, which isn't an issue since I'm strong-minded.)

I'm 32. When I was younger adults would tell me "enjoy your youth while you have it because time goes by much faster as you grow older." Well, it's true. 10 years ago feels like yesterday. Almost literally. I blink and years go by.

It’s not just you getting older.

Pretty sure onii-chan means older brother, though?

Also, that's not exactly how I wanted to be in your signature but I'll take it, I guess.

@LoveYourSmile I'm not that old yet!! But I did happen to use different birthday years to pass as older. That was actually a complex of mine when I was younger but now I wish I could be young again... I was also pretty ambiguous for the longest time about my gender since I wished to be a man and sure acted like one in everything I did like a true butch. Ironically I feel way better about femininity since I'm an enby.

35 years old I am enjoying my life. I have now time and money to enjoy my hobby. Started my figure collection two weeks ago and I love it next step it's two shelves for anime and manga made on measure. I love my life sure I have less energy that when I was 25 but it's a small price to pay.

when i was in my late 20s, the thought of hitting 30 was nothing but dreadful. i did nothing but procrastinate when it came to making decisions that would benefit me and my life. but here i am now, at 32, and honestly i don't feel bad at all. i wouldn't say i'm all that happy per se. but i am content. i have a job that i don't hate, my finances are in order, and i'm saving for retirement. due to bad relationship choices, i've missed the whole "wife and kids" route of my life, but i'm not overly upset about that. maybe i'll regret it in 10+ years, who knows. but right now i'm enjoying spending my time outside of work on the things i enjoy and that's good enough for me.

YES.

30? if i survive to that point, i'll turn 40 in 2026 (but feel 70 for how i'm always exhausted). i should be happy for counting down the days remaining until i will finally enter my own tavern / basement renewed into a actual house, but unfortunately it seems it has happened too late to "save" myself from loneliness, depression, despair etc. etc. i officialy want to leave my job and still i'm extremely aware / afraid it could still be the lesser evil if i reluctantly stay. i would go on for more, but... i feel like a broken record. If you're still young, don't give time for granted before it starts going at 4x speed.

I'm close to my 40s, and it feels like 20s, but with more money and fewer responsibilities, highly enjoyable. Or maybe it's just Spring, haha.

Winter definitely became worse with age, perhaps I should move somewhere next winter. Fucking fed of skiing and dull landscapes.

Don’t listen to him.
I’ve seen people in rehab that are so infantile and stupid they make this forum look like a sophisticated bunch of mature intellectuals.
Just because your chronological earth-date has two digits starting with a 3 that doesn’t mean you have to live and think a certain way.
